Review:
When you think of great music coming out of New Orleans, rock and roll may not be the first thing that comes to ones mind. If Supagroup has their way, that may soon change.
On Fire for Hire, Supagroup draws from various influences like Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, with some southern boogie thrown in for good measure. “Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Black Sabbath. “We wear our influences on our sleeve,” says singer Chris Lee. The result is a solid rock out from start to finish. The only thing lacking is a bit more flourish to guitar solos.
One thing for sure is that Supagroup knows how to have a good time. No lover’s lament… no depressing dirges. Add this one to your party shuffle, and prepare to have a good time. This is the sound of rock and roll, New Orleans-style.
