OneRepublic performed for excited fans at the Bank of America Pavilion in Boston on Thursday, August 1, 2013. The group is on tour in support of their third album “Native,” released this past March via Timbaland’s Mosley Music Group.
The weather for the event in Boston’s Seaport was absolutely beautiful. OneRepublic cancelled their two previous shows while vocalist Ryan Tedder recovered from a respiratory infection. When the curtain finally dropped midway through the first song, the pumped-up crowd erupted in cheers and applause.
OneRepublic is a talented must see pop-rock group with a string of hits from each of their albums, including “Stop and Stare,” “Good Life,” “Secrets,” “All the Right Moves” and “Apologize” which broke the record for most radio airplay in history. They played a mix of their older hits and newer tracks like “Feel Again” and the upbeat “Counting Stars” from their latest album.
The band’s on-stage performance was energetic and exciting. They seamlessly mixed in ballads and upbeat songs into their set. During a couple of brief intermissions the band played clips from “All the Right Moves” and “E.T.” Everyone in attendance was fully engaged and appeared to have a great time. The adrenaline was running high on all sides of the stage.
Next up, OneRepublic will share a co-headlining tour with singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles, kicking off on August 29 in Denver.
