Imagine Dragons performed to a packed house at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. on March 1, 2014.
The band took the stage and immediately pumped up the crowd with songs from their 2012 album “Night Visions.” They performed songs like “Tiptoe” and “Hear Me” before breaking out into the album’s first single, “It’s Time.” Enhancing the band’s signature sound was a world-class light show that really helped set the mood for fans in the arena.
One of the highlights of the evening was the band’s performance of Rush’s “Tom Sawyer” from the 1981 album “Moving Pictures.” Imagine Dragons nailed it, making it one of the best cover s of the song I’ve ever heard. Then they following it up with a lively version of Blur’s “Song 2.”
Imagine Dragons closed their set with performances of their mega-hits “Demons” and “Radioactive.” It was amazing to see a band, with only one full-length album under their belt, perform for a solid hour and forty minutes while keeping the crowd on the edge of their seats the entire time.
