DEAD&ALIVE arrives everywhere on June 26.

DEAD&ALIVE was filmed and recorded last year during The Devil Wears Prada’s hugely successful Dead Throne Tour : North America tour. The collection includes performances of songs spanning TDWP’s career, including DEAD THRONE‘s “Born To Lose,” “Mammoth,” and “Kansas,” among others, as well as other notable fan favorites including “Danger: Wildman,” “Assistant To The Regional Manager,” and “Outnumbered”. DEAD&ALIVE also features a wide array of behind-the-scenes footage shot and edited by the band’s own Jeremy DePoyster. Highlights include exclusive backstage glimpses of The Devil Wears Prada in action from the studio to the stage, unveiling the day-to-day reality of the on the road.

“As folks can continually expect from the band, we’ve been meticulous as ever picking apart edits, audio, artwork, bonus material, etc; which is very important to us – to be hands on, in control, and enthusiastic about the content we create for this band,” says vocalist Mike Hranica. “It’s always what we try and do with TDWP and I think ‘DEAD&ALIVE’ can serve as a testimony to that.”

TDWP are heralding DEAD&ALIVE with their new live video, “Vengeance.” The explosive clip is streaming now at The Devil Wears Prada’s official YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/TDWP.

Carry Me Back is the band’s fourth studio album and first since 2008′s Tennessee Pusher, and features 12 brand new tracks that sonically span the band’s career while still pushing them forward in new directions as musicians and songwriters. The album was recorded at the legendary Sound Emporium studios in Nashville (O Brother, Where Art Thou?; REM’s Document; Robert Plant and Alison Krauss’s Raising Sand).

Carry Me Back was produced by Ted Hutt (Gaslight Anthem, Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly). Hutt pushed the band in a whole new way that they hadn’t been pushed before. “Ted Hutt asked us to really dig deep as artists, as songwriters, to get to the heart of the matter of these songs and, especially, not to settle for anything less than their greatness,” recalls Ketch Secor of the band. Secor is also very proud of the result of the band’s songwriting efforts on the album, saying “For me, Carry Me Back is all about the songs, how they line up, intertwine, switch partners, and promenade home. Each of these songs was an accident waiting to happen.”

The band have recently unveiled the album cover artwork for their 7th studio album Oceania, which is due out June 19th via Martha’s Music/EMI Label Services/Caroline Distribution. The hauntingly beautiful image (above) was photographed by Richard Shay, son of Chicago legend Art Shay.

Oceania was recorded at singer/guitarist Billy Corgan’s private studio in Chicago with his band mates: guitarist Jeff Schroeder, drummer Mike Byrne, and bassist/vocalist Nicole Fiorentino. The powerful 13-song collection (full tracklisting below) was produced by Corgan and Bjorn Thorsrud (a frequent collaborator with both the Pumpkins and Zwan) and mixed by David Bottrill. As part of their 44-song work-in-progress, Teargarden by Kaleidyscope, Oceania is “an album within an album.”

“From a production standpoint I was dead set on making an album where every song was just as valuable as any other, ignoring the typical claptrap you hear about needing a single.” said Corgan on recording Oceania before signing on with a label for the release. “The only way to make the case that every song on Oceania is worth hearing is to put your heart into the sequence as a cohesive whole.”

Niccolai shared, “I  have had the vision from the very first that she is the perfect match for the song and I was right!  I am so proud of the end product.  She’s talented beyond words and she has such a great heart.  Working with her is so easy – we share the same influences and the same love for music.  I am completely under her spell.”  Orianthi echoes these sentiments offering, “‘High’ is such a great tune. I just love the melody and lyrics and Cyril’s voice sounds amazing. It was a lot of fun to put down the guitar parts and the guitar solo for it. I get lots of songs sent to me but I only work on those that I feel a connection with. Hanging out in the Village Studios and rocking out with Cyril was a real blast!”

Produced by Matt Grabe (The Maine, The Summer Set) the new album displays much growth since RLE’s 2010 American Dream debut EP. As guitarist Andrew Stevens explains, “The band grew into who we are as people between the EP and this album. We figured out who we are and put it into music.”

As singer Brandon James Ellis says “We just wanted more real songs. Stuff from the heart about the things we were going through as people. It’s an album we can all be proud of.”

The boys in Rocky Loves Emily are eager to get back on the road to play the new songs for their fans on the Surrender Your Booty Tour.
