Cypress Hill Announce Tour With Slightly Stooped

(Los Angeles, CA) – CYPRESS HILL celebrated yesterday’s release of new album RISE UP with a special performance in front of a packed-house crowd at The Warfield in San Francisco. Those that couldn’t make it in shouldn’t worry; the legendary hip hop group has announced a summer tour with Slightly Stoopid that begins July 16 at the VerizonWireless Amphitheater in Irvine, CA and will take them nationwide. On Monday night, Cypress Hill (emcees B-Real and Sen Dog, DJ Julio G and percussionist Eric Bobo) were joined by Rage Against The Machine/Street Sweeper Social Club/The Nightwatchman guitarist TOM MORELLO, System Of A Down drummer John Dolmayan and Deftones bassist Sergio Vega for a special performance on the outdoor stage of the ABC-TV show “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” The all-star band tore through “Rise Up,” the album’s title track and first single, as well as classics such as “Insane In The Brain” and “Rock Superstar.” Yesterday, Cypress Hill also appeared on both Fuel TV’s “The Daily Habit” and CNN.

In August, Cypress Hill will join Dave Matthews Band, Jack Johnson and Phoenix as part of the Mile High Festival and Soundgarden, Green Day and Lady Gaga as part of Lollapalooza 2010.

RISE UP is Cypress Hill’s first new album in six years and features an all-star guest lineup, including Linkin Park vocalist Mike Shinoda, System Of A Down guitarist/vocalist Daron Malakian, Everlast, Young De, Evidence, The Alchemist and comic legends Cheech & Chong.

Cypress Hill one of the most successful and influential hip-hop/rock groups in music history, with more than 20 million worldwide sales, an amazing string of chart-topping hits and an international fanbase whose members number in the millions. As Cypress Hill gear’s up for the April 20th release of their highly anticipated new album Rise Up, the multi-platinum hip-hop group has released a video for the album’s explosive lead single/title track, “Rise Up,” featuring Rage Against The Machine/Street Sweeper Social Club/The Nightwatchman guitarist Tom Morello (who pulled double duty as the song’s producer and co-writer). New Cypress Hill Album ‘Rise Up’ Features All-Star Guest Lineup

(Los Angeles, CA) – CYPRESS HILL returns April 6th with RISE UP (Priority/EMI), an album whose thrilling mix of deep grooves and hard riffs are amplified by guest appearances from Rage Against The Machine/Street Sweeper Social Club guitarist Tom Morello, Linkin Park vocalist Mike Shinoda, System of a Down guitarist/vocalist Daron Malakian, singer-songwriter Marc Anthony, rapper Pitbull, Everlast, Young De, Evidence, The Alchemist and comic legends Cheech & Chong.

The album spotlights not one, but two lead singles: the incendiary title cut “Rise Up,” which features Tom Morello (who co-wrote and co-produced the song) and “Armada Latina,” a hip-hop-flavored track spiced with vocals by Marc Anthony and Pitbull and production by Jim Jonsin (Lil Wayne, Beyonce).
