(NEW YORK, NY) – Puddle Of Mudd have added a run of headlining dates in the US this fall to their already busy upcoming schedule. Beginning on November 14^th in Hartford, CT fans attending the gigs can expect to hear a set filled with their hits along with a few songs from their new album Re:(disc)covered.

Re:(disc)covered finds Puddle Of Mudd digging back into their own past for the songs that turned them on to becoming musicians in the first place. Tracks include such classics as AC/DC’s “TNT,” Steve Miller’s “The Joker,” Elton John’s “Rocket Man,” the Stevie Nicks/Tom Petty duet “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around” (which Puddle Of Mudd recorded with BC Jean), Neil Young’s “Old Man,” and the first single, the Rolling Stones’ classic: “Gimme Shelter.”

Puddle Of Mudd will perform “Gimme Shelter” on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno this Friday October 7^th.

“Our goal in interpreting these songs was to pay more tribute rather than reinvent,” Phillips added. “These are all classics that are perfect in every sense, so who are we to mess with that? We just wanted to represent them in their true form and add a little of our sound to them. We cut everything with very few takes and tried to keep it very live like those old seventies records. We didn’t want to Pro Tool the hell out of it.”

(NEW YORK, NY) – For Puddle Of Mudd’s upcoming fifth studio album, the band decided to dig back into their own past for the songs that turned them on to becoming musicians in the first place. The result is: re:(disc)overed – an album which finds Puddle Of Mudd tackling these classic rock songs as only they know how.

“This record was a lot of fun to make,” commented lead guitarist Paul Phillips. “They were all songs and bands that we have been a fan or fans of forever. When choosing these songs, we really looked for ones that were both inspiring and challenging. We chose some that may be unexpected to some just so we could push the Puddle envelope a bit. We really wanted to stretch our legs on this one. It gave a chance to try some things that we have never really done on our records.”

The new album includes such classics as AC/DC’s “TNT,” Steve Miller’s “The Joker,” Elton John’s “Rocket Man,” the Stevie Nicks/Tom Petty duet “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around” (which Puddle Of Mudd recorded with BC Jean), Neil Young’s “Old Man,” and the first single, The Rolling Stones classic “Gimmie Shelter.”

“We all collaborated over three months or so and compiled a huge list of songs that we eventually weeded down to 14 tracks,” commented lead singer Wes Scantlin. “For me, it was very important that I could identify with all of them lyrically. A lot of them really struck a nerve. Old Man by Neil Young and Rocket Man by Elton John definitely hit close to home. As I’ve become an adult, I’ve realized that I have become my old man. I seem to have inherited the same traits as him, whether they are good or bad. I’ve been listening to that one forever and now I’m living it. As for Rocket Man, I feel it is a beautiful metaphor for living life on the road. We are spacemen so to speak. No one knows what it’s like out on the road. The fame, travelling, fans, etc…It’s like outer space to most until you’ve lived it.”

Another standout track on the album is Puddle’s take on Billy Squier’s “Everybody Wants You.” Billy Squier himself has already heard the track and remarked, “Sounds like these guys have got the right idea.”

Beginning July 23^rd, Puddle Of Mudd have scheduled five shows where for the first half of the show they will perform songs from re:(disc)overed followed by a run of Puddle Of Mudd hits.

The Carnival Of Madness Tour Kicks Off This Weekend

(New York, NY) – The inaugural outing of the Carnival Of Madness tour is about to get underway. The 26-date tour will open tomorrow afternoon in Jacksonville, FL.

“I am beyond excited for this tour, the production is incredible, the line up is amazing, and the energy of having all five bands on one stage is going to be like nothing else this summer,” exclaimed Shinedown lead singer Brent Smith. “Get ready for the carnival of madness!”

All fans attending the Carnival Of Madness this summer are in for an experience like no other.

The Jacksonville, Florida-based rock outfit Shinedown have been touring worldwide in support of their career defining album The Sound Of Madness since its release in 2008. The band’s run of hit singles from this album alone has made them one of the most successful rock bands of the decade. Shinedown’s latest album, The Sound Of Madness, was produced by multiple Grammy Award-winner Rob Cavallo (Kid Rock, Green Day, My Chemical Romance). The band’s fifth single from The Sound Of Madness “The Crow & The Butterfly” is at radio now.

Formed in 1995 Chevelle have remained a staple in the rock scene with seven Top 5 Modern Rock hits under their belt, including the #1 songs “Send the Pain Below” and “Vitamin R (Leading Us Along)” as well as fan favorites, “Jars,” “The Red” and “The Clincher”. The band is made up of Pete Loeffler (vocals, guitars), brother Sam Loeffler (drums), and brother-in-law Dean Bernardini (bass). The Carnival Of Madness Tour Announces Inaugural Lineup

(New York, NY) – Kicking off what is sure to become THE annual rock event each summer – Shinedown announced this morning that they will headline the inaugural year of the Carnival Of Madness Tour. Everybody needs a little madness in their life, so this summer the boys in Shinedown will be bringing several of their friends along with them…

Joining them on the road for 27 dates this summer in North America will be a who’s-who of rock bands with Chevelle, Puddle Of Mudd, Sevendust, and 10 Years.

We’re excited to be on the Carnival of Madness tour this Summer promoting what will be our third single from Sci-Fi Crimes,” remarked lead singer Pete Loeffler. “It will be great to get out there and see our fans on this multi-band bill!”

Puddle Of Mudd To Perform On Tonight Show And Rockline

Puddle Of Mudd has been confirmed for an appearance on NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno this Thursday, March 25th. Performing their new single “Stoned” for the first time on network television, is something the band never thought about when they recorded the track last year. However, with their recent success it’s become a reality.

The performance will be no laughing matter come show time according to the band, as it will mark their third appearance on The Tonight Show. “We’re happy to be back on the show, every time we are there it’s a great experience,” says Scantlin. “Stoned” is the second single off their fourth studio release, Volume 4: Songs In The Key Of Love & Hate.

Puddle Of Mudd Announce New Single And US Tour Dates

After a successful winter tour through the thick of 2010′s epic snowfall in the east, multi-platinum rockers Puddle of Mudd, will continue their tour for warm weather west coasters. “As a California resident, I’m looking forward to heating up my adopted state with more new music from Volume 4” says frontman Wes Scantlin, adding “but we will be making our way east as well!”

The tour kicks off on April 1st in Anaheim, CA and extends into the spring summer with festival dates, including Rock On The Range, May 22 in Columbus OH. On the road, Puddle of Mudd will highlight a musical career created for and crafted by a close relationship with their fans. “We write songs for our fans, so you better believe we’ll continue to play the hits along the way” states Scantlin. And there is a long line of hits to be had – including “Blurry,” “She Hates Me,” “Control,” “Psycho” and the first track from Volume 4, “Spaceship.” The tour actually began on January 21st in Providence, RI and included sold out stops at NYC’s Nokia Theatre and more. This latest leg hits San Francisco, Reno, Denver and then winds its way back through the Midwest and all the way down to Tampa. Enthused to be back on the road, Scantlin says, “we are always excited to be performing together in front of our fans, and are looking forward to bringing it to those in warmer weather, who’ve patiently waited these last few months.”

For this run, the lead off track from Volume 4, “Stoned” is currently impacting at radio. Will it hit number one? Well, why wouldn’t it? Since Puddle of Mudd’s 2001 debut album, “Come Clean,” the group has had five #1 songs on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart, tied for second-most this decade with 3 Doors Down, Godsmack and Linkin Park – (Billboard Magazine, 11/28).
